He Already Prayed for You

Sunday, October 11, 2026 · Pastor Reyes Castillo

“But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren.”

Luke 22:32

Before you face whatever's waiting this week, hear this: Jesus has already prayed for you.

He knows the pressure you're under and the places you're tired, and none of it worries Him.

Come stand with us this morning. Gathering of the Redeemed, 10 AM.

Some weeks you can feel the pressure building before Monday even starts.

Jesus didn't promise Peter an easy night. He told him a hard one was coming. Then He told him something better: I've already prayed for you, and when you come through this, you'll strengthen others.

That's the order of things. The prayer comes first, and the coming through comes after. The people you'll help later are part of why you'll make it.

The story behind it

The night before the cross, Jesus told Peter that Satan wanted to sift him like wheat. Peter said he was ready to go with Him to prison and to death. Jesus told him he would deny Him three times before the rooster crowed.

It happened just that way. When the rooster crowed, Peter went out and wept bitterly.

A few weeks later, on the day of Pentecost, the same Peter stood up and preached to a crowd in Jerusalem, and about three thousand people believed. The prayer held.
