Bought and Brought Home

Monday, October 12, 2026 · Pastor Reyes Castillo

“For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.”

1 Corinthians 6:20

Something bought at a high price gets handled with care. You were bought with the highest price there is.

You're not on loan, and you're not up for return. You belong to Him.

Carry yourself today like someone who's been paid for in full.

Some of us treat ourselves like we're worth very little. We let people talk to us any way they want, and we say things to ourselves we'd never say to a friend.

God looked at you and decided you were worth His Son.

Let that change how you speak to yourself today. Something precious deserves a gentle word, even from you.

The story behind it

God asked the prophet Hosea to marry a woman named Gomer, and she left him for other lovers.

Then God told Hosea to go and love her again. Hosea went and paid for her: fifteen pieces of silver and a measure and a half of barley. He brought her home and told her she would stay with him, and he with her.

God gave Hosea that story so His people could see their own. He pays to bring His own back home.

Pray

Lord, thank You for paying for me with Your own life. Help me live today like I'm Yours, because I am. Amen.

Say it today

I was bought with a price, and I belong to God.
