“Arise and eat; because the journey is too great for thee.”
1 Kings 19:7
Elijah was so worn out he lay down under a tree and asked God to take his life. God answered with a meal and some sleep.
If you're running on empty this morning, He knows the road is long. Let Him feed you before you try to go further.

There's a kind of tired that sleep doesn't fix. You keep going because people need you, and somewhere inside you've already sat down under the tree.
God isn't disappointed in that kind of tired. He came close to Elijah, touched him and fed him, twice. Then He sent him on with strength for the road.
Be honest with Him about how empty you are today. He'd rather feed you than watch you push through on nothing.
The story behind it
Elijah had just seen God answer by fire on Mount Carmel. Then Queen Jezebel threatened his life, and he ran.
He went a day's journey into the wilderness, sat down under a juniper tree and said, “It is enough; now, O LORD, take away my life.” Then he fell asleep.
An angel touched him and said, “Arise and eat.” There was a cake baked on the coals and a jar of water by his head. He ate and slept again. The angel came a second time, and Elijah went in the strength of that food forty days and forty nights.
