“But Christ as a son over his own house; whose house are we, if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm unto the end.”
Hebrews 3:6
Some of us think of God's house as a building we visit on Sundays. He thinks of it as people. He's been building it one life at a time, and you're in it.
He built the house, and the house He built is you. That makes you family, with a place in it that was always meant for you.
Walk into this day like you belong somewhere. You do.

Some days it's hard to believe you belong anywhere. You walk into rooms, even church rooms, feeling like you need a reason to be there.
In His house you don't need a reason. Every person who comes home to Him adds to what He's building, and He made room for you before you knew to look for it.
So if you've been standing near the door, waiting to be sure you're welcome, come in and sit down. You're home.
The story behind it
When I was in college, I went to Bible nights mostly for the free food. At first I pretended to like Jesus. Somewhere along the way it stopped being pretend.
I came in through a side door for a plate of food, and He was building His house with me in it the whole time.
Pray
Lord, thank You for building Your home out of people like me. Let me live today like I belong in it. Amen.
Say it today
I belong in my Father's house.
Come as you are.
We gather Sundays at 10 a.m. and Wednesdays at 7 p.m. in San Benito. Tell us you're coming and we'll send you everything you need.
